Entered through a rock tunnel pierced into a cliff wall, Am Tien Valley ("Tuyet Tinh Coc") reveals a still, jade-green lake completely ringed by vertical limestone mountains.
Once accessible only by climbing over jagged mountain passes, Tuyet Tinh Coc (Am Tien Cave) is a hidden crater-like valley next to Hoa Lu Ancient Capital where Queen Mother Duong Van Nga spent her final years as a Buddhist nun in the 10th century.
Walking through the stone tunnel opens onto a mirror-like emerald lake encircled by cliffs, a lakeside walking path, and a cave pagoda halfway up the rock wall.
